ParticipantHi Everyone
Just installed brand new propex hs2000 in my van.
All good except when running getting bit of smell, some sort of paint, not sure I can identify exactly, wondering if this normal with brand new unit? How hot it gets underneath the propex, should I be worry burning my plywood underneath?
Thank youJune 11, 2015 at 8:39 am #115151Darren

Been a few years since I installed mine, but I would expect a bit of smell, it’s probably the unit getting really hot for the first time.
Does the heater have studs that stop it touching the floor directly?
Is the exhaust clear of everything outside?June 11, 2015 at 8:39 am #115153Darren

ParticipantI think asked question too
I think asked question too early, after couple of days running on and off, all good now.
Yes there is gap between floor and the unit, the propex sitting on the rails that comes with the package. Thank youJune 14, 2015 at 11:10 am #115157markmoto
