We have had our campervan for one year so far and have run in to the following problems:
    – We took all our soft furnishings out of the van over winter as per the instruction manual but unfortunately we got a little mould around the cab on the ceiling. Anyone else experience this and if so how did you get rid of the mould.
    – Through the winter every month, we ran the engine as per instruction manual. When we went to use it in March this year – our first use, the battery was flat. The RAC man said that as we covered the van during the winter the sunlight did not get to the batteries as we have solar panels in the roof which apparently runs our two batteries. Anyone else experience this?
We therefore forked out for two new batteries.
Now our water tank is leaking. Now need to take it to somewhere so they can take a look at it. Any recommendations we live in Worthing West Sussex?
Our van is only 3 years old!!
Would love to hear anyone’s comments/advice/recommendations.

If you don’t use the can at all over the winter, you might get a bit of mould inside. This is because there is no air flow inside the vehicle. The best thing to do is to take the vehicle for a drive once a month, letting the engine heater warm up the interior. This will also help keep the leisure and engine batteries topped up.

The leisure batteries must remain topped up or else they will stop working, as you have found. If you have solar then they will stay topped up. If you want to cover the roof, then you’ll need to charge the leisure batteries via a mains charger, or using the solar by leaving the roof uncovered.
