I have finally started work on my Relay van, the plan is to turn it into a usable camper but there’s a twist, I need to make it so everything in the van can be quickly removed as I use the van to move motorbikes sometimes. The white van is the first one I bought, I paid just £700, a relay short wheel base, it was all carpeted out in the back with LED lights, a nice van. But it was slow, it had the 1.9 non turbo diesel engine. It struggled to hit 65mph and was terrible on hills. HGVs were passing me on the motorway on a slight incline. I part exed it for the blue van. This one was medium wheel base so slightly longer, but best of all it has the HDI turbo engine. This engine is so much better, it drives like a car, plenty power for what I need.

The van was aleady lined out with wood which was a bonus. The first job was to carpet the floor. I am lucky as my sister works for a carpet company, so she got me some left over contract carpet. It was fairly straight forward to measure it up fit it.
