    Hi..

    We bought and registered our van in Germany and are now in the UK doing some repairs/improvements.

    We have to go back to Germany at the end of November to sort out the MOT.. (the TUV in Germany)

    We would rather stay in the UK for longer until we head back and manage to sort the van out some more.

    Does anyone know if a MOT is Europe wide.. ie is it possible to get an English MOT and it will be covered? Would it need to be registered in the UK? In that case what about going back to Germany?

    Any advice would be much appreciated.

    The MOT is a UK only
    The MOT is a UK only test.
    You will almost certainly need a TUV once you return to Germany.
    However the biggest issue is probably your insurance. Check with them whether they will insure you with a MOT test.
