ParticipantHi, a new boy here and I am doing a conversion on an old smiley transit. I have got most things sorted in my head but could do with some information on matresses. I was thinking of getting a full size foam matress and cutting it to size to save money. What thickness would you all suggest?
I am also going to use curved bed slats but am not sure how to fix these. Should they be able to slide as they are compressed?April 14, 2016 at 12:05 pm #114507Darren
GuestHi
HiNice to hear from you.
Most people use 4″ foam. 5″ foam is more comfy, though.I think the curved bed slats do need some room to move. My home bed has slats that have rubber cups that the slats fit into, and allow some movement.
