Hi NikI believe insurance companies ask for the details where the vehicle is kept, which really is your friends house.
You also seem to live there when you are not travelling, so their address sounds ideal.Seatbelts is a grey area.
It is legal to take passengers in side-facing seats without seatbelts. However, I doubt your insurance company will cover you for this.
