Hi,
Thought I would join a forum as interested in getting a campervan. Always wanted one, had saved up for an old school VW but getting married ruined that dream. Got a two year old and want to start taking him away on camping weekends and think a van would be great until he thinks it not cool. Always loved VW and am thinking about a T5. I want to get out to some meets and stuff to start learning about the vans, lifestyle, problems. Looking to get a van next spring / summer.I’m based in Hertfordshire and was wondering if people had advice on meets I could go to, or any advice about getting into owning a van.

VW T5 is a great choice, and there are a great choice as an everyday vehicle, or a second vehicle.
In terms of owning a van I would consider where you’ll park it, how many miles you’ll do and what you can do yourself in terms of maintenance, as they often need a little more TLC than a car.Cheers
