    Hello all,
I’m setting up house power for my 2012 Dodge Caravan mini camper. I’d like to have one nice Lithium house battery (100amp/hr) along with the standard start battery. A 100 watt fixed solar panel on the roof, and a 100 watt portable panel to put out when the van is parked in the shade.

Can anyone help me with isolators, charge controllers, and wire gauges (house battery will be in a “chuck” box in the back of van about 20 feet of wire from the start battery). I would prefer both batteries be charged by both of the solar panels and the alternator. I’ve read that having both batteries connected to the vehicle can affect the electrical system, but there may be charging options that can prevent that from happening.

I’ve been reading a lot, but the information seems to get more confusing the more I learn. Any help and product plugs is appreciated.
