Hello. Self-build camper..holic.
We are on our 4th build, sold our last love, Renault Master which we had (on and off)lived in, for over 4 years. We had to return home after 7 great years in Spain, we were about to lose family members. We are at that age.
Now after 3 long years in Blighty we have decided itchy feet must no longer be ignored, so sold the car and dumped us in the deep end with a sprightly LWB Transit, to convert.
After 3 weeks it’s stripped out, minibus with many seats, sold them all and changed double passenger seat, for a single.
Could not find a panel model that was not a dog!
Now have insulated roof and panelled it, roof-lite in, 12v and 240v traced through. Next walls and windows to be filled and blacked out.Great fun, only the weather is holding me up.
Looking forward to talking to the Forum members, sounds like you all travel and not just talk about it. CheersJanuary 23, 2014 at 5:15 pm #116681DarrenKeymasterHi
Great to hear you are
HiGreat to hear you are going back on the road.
It often is so hard to get good vans now, and a mini-bus is a good choice. Pros and cons of course.
Where in Spain did you live?January 23, 2014 at 5:15 pm #116683DarrenKeymasterHi
