    Hello all

Need some advise please. I have a Waeco fridge which works great until voltage drops below 12 v. It still makes the noise but doesn’t get cold. Leisure battery only keeps up the voltage perhaps for one night.

I have a 12v cool box that continues to work even when battery is down to 11v so can I ask

Is it the design of the fridge that makes it unable to get cold in this case or

Is the battery on the way out?

    Thanks for your help

    Hi

What model of Waeco fridge is it?
I have a CR50 and with a good battery it will last 24 hours. That’s with the fridge on setting 3 and the ambient temperature being about 22 degrees. If it’s much hotter it will last less time on the battery.

12v is the point at which a 12v battery is considered flat (12.9v is charged), and it’s not recommended to use it down to 11v as you are likely to damage the battery.

Sounds like you need a new battery.
