Ford escort mk6 day van conversion

Hi guys,

I have just been given a lovely example of a ford escort van by my dad. It’s perfect for moving my music gear around but I’m thinking id like to convert it into a day van. I am TOTALLY new to any kind of conversion work so wondered if anyone knew if there are any kits available or if anyone had any tips? I’m thinking I don’t need a sink or stove or anything as I’ll just use a standalone stove. So mainly just insulation, storage and a good size bed is all I want to put inside her….. Any help would be really appreciated!

Great to hear of your ideas.
I don’t think you’ll find a kit for an Escort van.
You might be able to find a kit for small vans on eBay, but, the smaller the vehicle, the more custom the conversion tends to be.
If you buy a kit, you’ll be limited by the kit.
So, if you can, do the conversion from scratch. This all depends on your time and experience.
I learn’t masses doing my own conversions. I loved it, and these skills are transferable to home DIY, etc.
