I wish to add more seats in the back of my van. Does someone know a way to fit them in so they would be secure? People have told me i can just bolt them to the floor. Is there a way that you should fit seats down? little bolts does not seal enough.
This is a tricky one to get right. Only do so if you’re a confident engineer. Seats are typically fitted with metal plates. The bolts pass through the plates, spreading the weight of the seat, which is very important in the event of an accident. The bolts/plates need to be positioned in the correct structural areas, as most van floors are too thin.
