Hi, I am just about to embark on my first campervan conversion. I have a lwb nissan primastar, I’m just about to start insulating and fitting the carpet to the walls etc. I’ve realised there are lots of holes (manufacture holes) in the panels that I assume will need blocking up before fitting the carpet. Is it usual to block these off before fitting the carpet? Will the carpet sink into these if they are not filled? What is the best method to fill the holes?
Thanks for your help in advance, I’m sure there will be many more questions along the way 🙂September 8, 2014 at 7:45 am #116053DarrenGuestHi
HiYes, fill the holes before carpeting, as the carpet will recess into the holes.
Small holes can be filled with any sort of filler really.
Big holes can be filled with expanding foam, assuming you can use a knife to give a flat finish once dried.September 8, 2014 at 7:45 am #116056DarrenGuestHi
