    Hi

Me and my husband are travelling around Europe for 2 months in a months time, we bought a ford transit conversion a couple of months ago so it is our first big trip in it. We have done some research on the countries we are visiting but I still have lots of questions.

The plan is to travel to holland, Germany, austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Italy France then finish off in northern Spain. Can anyone help with the following questions, and in general any useful tips much appreciated!

    1. As we are travelling in June and July is it advisable to book campsites?
    2. We r travelling by ferry from Croatia to Italy, any recommendations on the best ferry and would we need to book in advance?
    3. What is the mostcostefficient way to use a mobile , should we buy sims in every country?
    4. Any ideas on the best mosquitoes repellant for inside the campervan? (preferably non electric)
    5. Ideas on additional storage? I have seen the hanging pocket things in camp shops but they r a bit expensive?
    6. Ideas on foldable chairs that are comfy and easy to store, loads of chairs out there that are foldable but the comfy ones r expensive and bulky?
    7. Best site to blog our travel?

    Thank u!

    Carla

    Hi Guys

    Sounds like an exciting journey.

    1. You’ll always find somewhere to stay. At busy times you might not get your first choice, but you will find somewhere.
    2. I doubt you’ll need to book in advance. Try searching online to see other peoples opinions on this.
    3. If you are making lots of local calls then a local sim is the way to go . If you are making calls home, it is generally better to stay with your home SIM, as the phone company will do a good deal. With O2 it was £0.35 a min to call home, which is fairly good. Local SIM will be cheaper in some places. Phone shop is cheaper again.
    4. Citronella candles work well, and they smell nice.
    5. All depends on your van. Make some boxes like mgroadster says.
    6. You need to try them to see how confy they are for you. Everyone is different.
