What contact adhesive do i use?Styccobond F60?

Hi all i will shortly be starting to put the carpets on the walls and ceilings of my T5. My sheepswool insulation is nearly done and for the water vapour barrier i am going to use the polythene that is used on the building sites for concrete(strong, long lasting, and free!) and contact adhesive it to the ply panels. I thought it would be better to do this to stop the polythene flapping or vibrating about. Advice welcome on that. The main question i have got though is the type of contact adhesive that is good value for the money. I have bought evo-stik trade from screw fix but is £26 for 2.5 litres to do the polythene. For the carpets i have been looking at Styccobond F60 which i have seen for £15 for 5 litres. A few questions i have got are.... The fire safety of it when dry considering temperatures in the van i.e the weather and cooking? The evo-stik stuff goes up to 70 degrees. The life of the remaining contents before going dry once the tin is opened to pour some out?It does say 30 minutes with tin open but i am guessing it is longer once the lid is put back on? Would really appreciate any advice to these questions and any tips to help me get a good finish. Forgot to say what type of carpets i have got. The ceiling is the factory grey carpet to match the front. And the walls are the thin black ribbed type with a glued back. Stuff used on most conversion sites. Thanks

I started using Evostick

I started using Evostick contact adhesive, but then found a much cheaper brand. I don't remember the name but the tin was yellow with red writing. It cost only £10 for a gallon. It smelt a little different and is a little ticker than Evostick, but works just as well. And is obviously a lot cheaper.

adhesive

I used F60 for the carpet trim on my walls and roof (see 'simple LDV conversion' pics). It is essentially the same as Evostick but goes off pretty quickly once out of the pot (suggest pouring it into margarine tubs and paint brushing on). The tins will keep for a couple of years min. if you keep pushing the lid back on. I have 2-3 litres if you are near Middlesbrough or, possibly, Brighton.

Vapour barrier

I've used sanitary silicone sealant to stick the polythene vapour barrier to the van framework before re fitting the interior panels. this should stop it falling out and will also seal the joint to the van to keep it air/water tight.

Sanitary silicone for bathrooms has good resistance to condensation and contains mould inhibitors. it's also quite sticky!
The vapour barrier is trapped between the wool insulation and the interior panels, so it shouldn't move anyway.
Also the screws fixing the panels pass through the edge of the vapour barrier to help hold it in place.
Where there was no framework to stuff the sheep's wool insulation in to on the upper part of the walls I used spray on carpet adhesive to stick the sheeps wool to the bubble foil, which was also stuck to the van using this adhesive.
