 VW LT vans are an excellent choice for camper van conversions.  The first generation of LT, which looks like a bigger VT Transporter, was very popular with campervan converters in the 70s, 80 and 90s.  You find many of these spacious and reliable vehicles driving around Europe.

Since 1996 the VW LT has shared the chasis and bodywork of the Mercedes Sprinter.  Although the new LT has its own engine and transmission.
