Just starting out on the search for a suitable base vehicle for a camper. Ideally I want a low roof panel van with a side conversion and a pop up roof (such as the Reimo Cityvan conversion) however I'm a big chap (6'11'') so I find a VW Transporter a bit on the cramped side. A bigger van like a Ducato/Boxer/Relay would be bigger on the inside, but I'm a bit scunnered (to use a good scottish word) by the lack of pop-up roofs available for bigger vans to create that extra space just when required. I would want to use the van as my day-today vehicle so it needs to be able to work as a family car too, ideally being able to transport 7 people in belted seats as well. I'm therefore also scunnered by the fact that most camper conversions don't have enough travel seats. Thus looking for all sorts of advice!
