Truant
I own an LDV Convoy which I've converted myself using an old caravan to supply the cooker, fridge, etc. I chose it because it has a Ford engine and is robustly built. All very much done on a budget over the Winter of 2011 and following Year. I hoped to get to France, Spain and Portugal early 2012 for three months but didn't make it as the respray took forever. I'm a Builder and as there's generally no work going on during winter so I thought it would be a good idea to scarper to foreign parts. I'll take my tools with me in case I come across any temporary work. If nothing else, it beats sitting around the UK shouting at the Christmas adverts and watching repeats on telly. If it all works out I'll do it every year. I've dragged a caravan across Ireland and I also went to Corfu with a couple of friends in a VW camper (Devon conversion I think) some time ago. I drove it quite a bit but the thing just kept breaking down-once in the Alps! Altogether put me right off the Deutsche Wagens.
