female 28 doctor managed to convince my training body to let me have a year out to do some developing world volunteer medicine, but also to travel europe (eastern and med) in a van which i want to buy now so as to get used to it, learn its little idiosyncracies, have some good weekends away in the UK and kit it out nice ready for august for my big journey

not yet bought one - doing my research... want a good solid vehicle as me and bloke aren't great mechanics, want it to be comfy for us both to relax and sleep in - he's 6'3". don't want a VW as overpriced and at our ages we'd feel a bit daft. ideally a mercedes but anything well looked after in the £2500-£4000 range is what we're aiming for
