Peugeot Expert camper conversion

Hi,

Here are some pictures of our recently converted Peugeot Expert camper. I have loosely based it on a conversion I found on this site that was done by Ben Sutton. The L shaped seating arrangement works really well and with the addition of swivel seats there really is a lot of space for such a small van. The seats came from a Peugeot 806 and all mounting points are the same so its simply a case of unbolting the van seats and fitting the new ones. One very lucky coincidence was that as this van was a combi model the rear seat mountings are also the same as the people carrier so it is also possible to fit two additional back seats in a few seconds.

conversion

Hi,Toby. I love the conversion! I'm just about to start converting a VW T4 and would love to do something like this. Could you give me some info on how you did things, like how the bed is supported, how you made the cupboards/drawes etc and the workings of the table. Any info would be much appreciated.

Hi,
Sorry not to have got back to you sooner. The bed is supported on two removable wooden rails and the draws came from an old desk (they needed to be shortned). Almost all of the wood used was recycled. If you are still interested I have some pictures of the conversion at various stages of the build that I can send you.
Best wishes,
Toby

I would love to see your photographs throughout your conversion. I'm at the very start of the journey with very little money to spend and sawing your van is inspirational. Is there enough room for two people to sleep? I am struggling with working out how to sit storage cupboards and sleeping space. Any advice would be very helpful. Many thanks Wendy

Seats

Hi
Your conversion is lovely.
I am just starting to convert a Dispatch Van and was wondering what seats/swivel bases you used?
Thanks for any information.

John

swivel seats van/people carrier

Hi,
The seats are from a peugeot 806 people carrier. I believe that citroen synergie and fiat ulysse seats are the same. The bases are exactly the same and all the holes line up with the van seat mounting holes (my van only had a single front passenger seat).
Best wishes,
Toby

Bed

Hi there. Firstly, I can I say what a great conversion. I'm inspired. I too have a Peugeot Expert and I'm planning on my conversion. I was wondering how wide is your bed? Is it wide enough for two people? Many thanks, Wendy
