The www.abd.org.uk are campaigning against the use of height and width barriers with prevent motorcaravans and other leisure vehicles from accessing car parks and other facilities.

whilst I understand the need for such hieght controls on vehicals using some car parks i.e. huge transport lorries ect. I do feel that at the present hieght the barriers exclude a large number of the smaller type motorhomes. therefore in my opinion the miniman hieght of a barrier should be higher, say 8ft.

Today (28/03/10) I parked on a Sefton Borough car park, and I was given a ticket by the Traffic Warden because my campervan (around 20ft long) took up two spaces.

Yes!!!! it will do because it is over 20ft in, plus there was a disability blue badge on the windscreen!!!!
