Helmet - rebuild of a 1972 cross over Bay window camper van

By

An introduction to Helmut

Having two Beetles in the family one each for my daughter and one for my son I did mention I would fancy doing a camper up some time in the future. Returning from holiday in August 1998
I found dumped on my drive a 1972 cross over bay which was a rusting hulk with no tax no engine,
no logbook, no keys and lots of lots of rust

My son had bought it for my Birthday from a local farm for £50. Little did I realise it was the start of a 10 year project!

A true labour of love

Note:  This campervan was restored by Clive Horlor.  Clive has very sadly passed away and his family have asked me to share Clive's work so that others can enjoy one of his last projects.
