Hi folks,

I was hoping to get a few opinions on the best insulations for my T4, and why.

Obviously I need to consider sound, thermal, resonance, humidity etc, but are there any people out there that have actually used purpose-built materials?

Hope you can help a little.

THank you

Rob.

I've used Kingspan/Celotex

I've used Kingspan/Celotex which is very warm and sound proof. Can be bought cheaply if you shop around/ebay.
I think 25mm is required for most of a T4.

I've used the bubble wrap stuff as well, which is really easy to use, but not as good as sound proofing. Fine for a summer or day van.

T4 insulation

Hi

We use double sided foil bubble wrap for thermal insulation and we also have a soundproofing insulation for the soundproofing. We sell the foil rolls and soundproofing insulation rolls on our online shop www.westcountrycampervans.co.uk as well as this we also sell an insulation and soundproofing kit which contains enough materials to fully insulate/soundproof a VW T4 size van.

Regards

Steven
