After much deliberation we are looking to buy a base vehicle (van or minibus) to convert to a camper for a year away. To hell with work, maitenance payments, the cats and other sh*t we are just gonna go next year. Although not expert diyers have "done up" a number of houses so how hard can it be??????? Anyway wanted to say fab site and instructions for converting a van. The hunt is on ! What about an LDV with a ford engine?

LDVs are good vans. But make

LDVs are good vans. But make sure it has been well serviced, and be prepared to do maintenance yourselves. Take your time and pick a good one, there are normally quite a few to choose from. They tend to be much cheaper than other vans such as Sprinters.

Ford engines are excellent, and one of the best choices for vans.

Good luck and let us know how you get on with your conversion.
