ford transit 1988 steering box

Hi
I have just bought a motor home based I think in a ford transit 1988."Mark 3"
Does anybody know whether the steering box on theses is adjustable?
It passed its mot 6 months ago so can’t be too bad but it floats on the road above 50 mph.
Checked the play in column and the steering wheel has about 1/8 turn before it bits the rack each way
Just wondered if this can be adjusted out
