This is my Fiat Scudo 2 berth Mini Camper. This is a brand new contemporary conversion built to suit the needs of the modern traveller. The van is ice white with full size privacy windows on the sliding doors. The five spoke alloys and the Goodyear tyres finish the look off. The van has been classified by the DVLA as a camper van so enjoys very cheap insurance.
The 2.0 litre diesel engine has 110bhp which give it plenty of power and fantastic economy to boot, at the last count I was getting over 50mpg. The van has 6 months tax and 6 months test. I am the second owner of the vehicle, the first owner had it serviced every 10 000 miles and owned the van from new. The mileage on the van is 123 000 and is in daily use. It has just had a full service including timing belt and water pump.
Both of the front seats swivel around to face the back of the van and will seat 4 comfortably. The rock n roll bed in the back has two seat belts and plenty of under seat storage. There is also a purpose built wardrobe with two shelves and a secret compartment to keep valuables in.
The fridge/cool box is located under the bench leaving lots of bench space for cooking. The sink has a micro switch tap. And the two ring gas hob has an electronic ignition. The electrical system is run from a brand new 110 amp deep cycle battery which is charged via a 140 amp split charge relay. The system can be completely isolated. There is also 1000 watt soft start inverter to power a 240 plug that will take 2 USB devices and a UK 3 pin plug or a euro 2 pin plug. A digital voltmeter keeps an eye on the batteries condition. The lights are all led and multi-colour.
The van has been insulated with acoustic insulation to reduce road noise and it does this very effectively and it has two layers of thermal insulation to keep the cool when it is hot and warm when it is cold. It has been carpeted throughout with anthracite carpet and matching headlining. The colour scheme is neutral using clear woods and greys to complement each other.
This is an easy van to drive and park fitting into any urban parking space. It is as comfortable touring narrow mountain roads and busy motorways or even just round town. My van has an excellent pedigree and the conversion has been completed to a very high standard. This will make a perfect campervan for any outdoor enthusiast or anyone who is looking to get into the campervan world who would like a van as a daily driver and with the very low insurance costs it makes it a cost effective drive.
I think that I have covered everything here but I will be happy to answer any questions.
There are more picture of my van in the photo section of this website but if you would like to see more please contact me and I will be happy to email them
