In winter time the campsites

In winter time the campsites are cheap. Most are below €10 per night. The municipal campsites are probably under €5 for 2 people. At the Peniche municipal site We paid €3.50 for 2 people this winter.

In summer, the prices are 2 or 3 times higher.

I cannot find a list of the municipal campsites, but this website allows one to search the campsites in Portugal well

I've stayed there. Very nice

I've stayed there. Very nice people. We paid very little to park on the ground at the back of the site. Took some water in the morning. Had some oranges as well.
