I went for a trip in a VW T5 California through campervantastic.com,before buying my own van, hiring provided us with a perfect opportunity to test the van out and try before you buy. The people there were so friendly they showed us things that the dealers at Volkswagen seemed oblivious to and because of their experience they gave us some top tips and even pointed us to some great campsites,we ended up in Dorset, Durdle Door, fantastic scenery and great weather to boot!

What a great idea. Camper vans can be expensive so it's worth testing some out by hiring them before you buy.
