Free camping first time

28/8/09 After having our Peugeot Talbot Express camper for 2 weeks and being away both weekends, we decided to try free camping. I had read Darrens blog twice! and was really excited about trying to free camp. Me and my boy (age 3yrs 2month) met mark my partner at work and set off for Sandsend, Yorkshire. We got there at 8.30 and found the car park mentionjed on this site. We got the bed ready (Rider fell asleep on the way) put him in his sleeping bag all snuggly and sat out looking at the sea and stars with a bottle of wine.

There was one other big red camper that appeared to be going to stay for the night, as he moved to an area where he would not be seen from the road. The toilets were open all night and were clean but unlit. The whole area was very peaceful and quiet. went to sleep about 10.30pm with the noise of the sea lulling me to sleep.
