Local eBay bargains

By Darren - Posted on 11 March 2010

I noticed a motorhome being broken for spares on eBay, just a few miles away from me.

I spoke to Roy, the owner, and he was saying how he had bought it for £1,600 2 years ago with the idea of doing some work to it and putting it back on the road.

However, he doesn't have the time anymore and wanted to try and get some money back on it.

I went down and had a look at the motorhome.  I was interested in the fridge and the nob/sink unit.  The fridge has already gone, and the sink unit is the wrong way around for what I had in mind.

The motorhome is in pretty bad shape.  There is a toilet unit and perhaps the water tanks that would be useful, but I decided to leave it for now.

Local eBay items can be bargains.  You can see the items before buying, you can bring them home which saves on postage, and you can often find bargains as a lot of eBay shoppers are looking for items that can be posted to them.
