1978 Dodge

1978 Dodge 318 cu. in. automatic transmission. This is very similar to the van I had, it was a very good runner and I lived in it when I was in Seattle WA 1986-87. It had the large windows like these on both sides. I used black velvet material at night to hang flat (ungathered)in front of the windows. When light shined in from headlights you couldn't tell there were curtains and it looked like an empty van. Because of the big window areas I froze my buns off in the winter. I had an electrical heater but this did very little. At the time I used the restroom facilities at the Shilshole Bay Marina. The van was pretty sharp looking so I blended in nicely. The showers at the time were 35 cents for about 10 minutes of water. I felt very secure inside it at night as it was non-descript enough to blend in and the black velvet curtains allowed good security visually.
